ProKart Challenge North Report - Round 4

Another successful weekend of regional karting was delivered by Team Aluminos at the fourth round of the ProKart Challenge North series, which was held this past weekend at the Jim Russell International Karting Center at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. As the team continues to grow and gain more experience, the results keep improving. The highlight of the weekend came by way of Aluminos owner Rob Soares, who visited victory lane while the rest of his team battled hard at the front of the field all day. The addition of veteran superstar Ron White to the Aluminos engineering and coaching squad this past weekend was also a big plus that paid dividends.

ProKart Challenge South CalSpeed Report

It was yet another successful weekend for the Team Aluminos squad at the recent Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge South event, which was held at the CalSpeed Karting facility in Fontana, CA this past weekend. With the series bringing in some of the best drivers that the West Coast has to offer in shifter and TaG racing, the six Aluminos drivers on hand were up to the challenge, hanging with the finest pilots in their respective classes, highlighted by an outstanding drive by Nicola Galloni in TaG Senior.

In his second event with Team Aluminos, Galloni utilized an Aluminos-prepped GP Kart to run in TaG Senior, putting his entry third in the qualifying session behind two nationally-ranked American pilots. At the start of Heat #1, the Italian fell one spot and remained in fourth for the 12-lap sprint. Trouble would strike in Heat #2 as he would be unable to complete a lap due to contact with another driver. Starting from the rear of both the TaG Senior and TaG Masters field with the DNF, Galloni put on a show by driving to the front of the field. Up to fourth by the halfway mark, Galloni put his efforts on moving into a podium position as third place was in sight. Looking for a way by for a couple of laps, he finally made his move on the final circuit and made it stick to place third.

ProKart Challenge North Report - Round 3

It was a successful weekend for Team Aluminos at the third round of the ProKart Challenge North series, held at the Jim Russell Karting Center at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. With four drivers flying the Aluminos GP kart colors at the June 14 event, which saw the race run the popular track in the reverse direction, each driver found their way to the podium in their respective class to cap a successful outing. Team driver coach and engineer Tom Dyer got back behind the wheel with a late entry and was second in TaG Senior, Sergio Machado was also second in S4, while Marc Elliott and Brad Dunford stood second and third on the S3 podium. All in all, it was a big weekend for the popular team.
